Domestic Short Hair (short coat) Cat

BABS the Cat needs a home

This wonderful female cat is a head turner when you see her strikingly beautiful face and markings on her body.  Interesting to know that despite the pain and trauma this precious girl has endured in her young life she still has a peaceful serenity about her and harbors no anger or hostility toward humansYou see this precious cat we named Babs, was hatefully thrown from a moving car and her left leg was scraped up pretty bad but her right rear leg and hip were horribly fractured.  She entered the rescue with conflicting thoughts from the vets who treated her as to what to do with the shattered back leg.  Eventually it was decided to let her recover from her trauma and become stronger before the decision was made to possibly amputate her leg.  Time to heal, crate rest and pain medications along with proper nutrition, were the next call to action. This girl has a strong will to survive and to thrive because she now walks with a very minor limp that is improving daily.  She is over her crate rest and has been encouraged to use her bad leg and it is working like a charm.  You would never know how badly broken that leg was just months ago.  She is a calm and loving girl who wants to find her forever home and maybe someone who also has had a few “bad breaks” in their life as well.  Fortunately this girl we call  Babs is FeLV and FIV negative and up to date on her vaccinations as well as spayed and rabies given along with microchipping and a number of dewormings.   Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue for more information about this special survivor who refuses to let life or people get her down for good!
